The individual selected for this position will provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks such as providing technical advice and assistance to engineers in the development or modification of electronic assemblies and Sub-assemblies in the MW Factory. They will assist in developing Process improvements in all cells of the manufacturing Factory, and improve quality, cost and schedule. The Engineering Assistant V will manually assemble, rework and repair complex microwave assemblies and sub-assemblies in support of Production and Engineering Prototyping efforts. Additionally, they will assist Product Engineers in developing tune patterns to allow modules to meet specifications reducing extensive tuning and HPU's.
The selected individual:
-Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.
-Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics).
-Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas: preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency: and quantitative judgments concerning technical data.
-Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports.
-May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.
