The selected candidate will assist with planning and maintaining the various installation schedules for military AIMS MK XIIA IFF electronic systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring system integration and certifications are tracked and accomplished to support the installation schedules. Extensive knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the general and specific aspects of the fleet modernization program is required.
The selected candidate will exercise independent judgment in performing such tasks as the planning, coordinating, scheduling of all aspects required to be accomplished to ensure successful installation of the various AIMS MK XIIA IFF fleet modernization program. Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices and will provide technical guidance to lower level technicians.
Candidate will travel to ship locations as required (up to 25%) to perform site surveys to assist in drawing development and scheduling meetings. Extended and/or weekend hours may be required.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
High School diploma and at least 8 years of related experience
IFF, radar and digital electronics experience
Shipboard installation experience to allow for accurate planning of production and installation schedules and timelines
Strong planning and estimating skills for material and labor cost development
Active security clearance and ability to maintain
Preferred Skills and Education
Associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology
Certified Solder Technician specializing in SMT, lead free and through hole
Certified Quality Assurance Inspector
Cable fabrication certification
Knowledge of ISO, Lean Six Sigma, and/or best practices
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) – Maritime (OSHA 1915) training
