BAE Systems has an immediate need for a Materials Supervisor II in our York, PA facility. BAE Systems is a leader in the production of military vehicles.
The Materials Supervisor II, working under the direction of the Manager I- Materials, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the production material control specialists. The position oversees operations related to lineside support, material storage, kitting operations, movement of material to manufacturing lines, inventory control, and employee engagement. This position requires working with internal and external customers. The Supervisor II of Materials will coordinate daily workload of available staff to ensure we meet our material on time delivery goal.
The Materials Supervisor ensures material flow is constant. The Warehouse Supervisor ensures that workplace health, safety requirements, training, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are accurate and up to date. This person should have a working knowledge of government required documents, FAR and DFAR requirements, and should be a proponent of Continuous Improvement processes and LEAN Management in order to be successful.
The ideal candidate will have:
- The ability to successfully work with cross-functional teams while driving towards mission/project accomplishment.
- Maintaining accurate records of training management and discrepancies for internal/external auditing purposes.
- Updating all Training Management processes and documentation into Business
- Maintaining a safe working environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
