Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking a Program Managers/Site Lead (Program Manager II) to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP). The successful candidate will serve as the overall contractor site lead responsible for the performance of the work and provide management at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

This position manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates and executes a collection of projects supporting the DSRC; ensures achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives; demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security; and provides direct people-management.

The site lead works to ensure all technical requirements of the contract at the DSRC are being met; serves as the primary point-of-contact for the government Technical Director, or equivalent, and work in tandem to ensure the successful operations of the DSRC; creates appropriate teams and hosts meetings to develop timely responses to work requests and solve technical problems as they arise; anticipates future requirements and provides feedback and recommendations as needed; ensures appropriate skilled resources are applied to various projects; provides technical oversight to all projects performed at the DSRC, negotiating and adjusting resources as needed to ensure timely completion of tasks; maintains cognizance of all HPCMP cross center and local DSRC technical activities to obviate communication gaps, and ensures that the technical staff meets all skill level requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years' working experience, or equivalent experience. May substitute equivalent experience, training and/or certifications for the degree.
  • Experience with HPC systems or experience in a Federal Data Center environment
  • Specific prior experience leading technical personnel
  • 8570.01M/ IAT-II
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or v4, or obtain within 6 months of start date


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Master's degree and eight (8) years or more related experience; PhD and 6 years of experience
  • Experience with the specification, analysis, and procurement assistance with large HPC Systems
  • 6+ years' experience with HPC systems


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $127900 - $217400

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
