To perform Technical Security functions and assure the mechanical and electronic systems are operating in compliance with applicable programs, federal, and company directives of secure, and non-secure areas. Performing installation/maintenance on access control systems (ACS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), UL 2050 alarm testing, and door hardware.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate company owned vehicles as required.
  • Maintain valid driver's license and good motor vehicle record.
  • Perform duties of Construction Engineer on facility projects to ensure that Technical Security requirements in mechanical, electrical and architectural security are properly implemented in accordance with JFAN/DoD/ICD 705/DCID 6/9 and other government requirements.
  • Provide all physical, technical, TEMPEST, and other security requirements to engineering for incorporation into overall projects.
  • Conduct vulnerability studies to identify hazards, weaknesses and to provide reports detailing findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Low voltage knowledge, and skills.
  • Operating and being certified with ladders, and lifts.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and administration of the access control systems (ACS) & intrusion detection system (IDS).
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule and be available for on call responsibilities.
  • Ongoing technical support for design, installation, and maintenance of the security infrastructure of classified areas and other related electronic security and communication systems/networks.
  • Installation, maintenance, and administration of mechanical door hardware, and other door hardware systems, and devices.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

  • Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • BS/BA in a related field plus 4 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Understand the configuration of alarms system and system design regarding UL 2050 requirements to enable and maintain alarm specifications for NISPOM/ICD 705 areas in support of continuing area accreditations.
  • Understand the administration and maintenance of a UL certification program, UL 2050 standards, and perform required alarm testing.
  • Self-driven to complete security troubleshooting tickets.
A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64000 - $87000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
