The US Controls segment of Electronic Systems (ES) is looking for a Contracts Operations lead to support policy and process infrastructure and work to ensure that all actions taken support full compliance with various internal and external policies and regulations with limited guidance or supervision of the Business Area Director of Contracts.

Basic Functions of the Job:
The selected candidate will work with both US Controls and Sector contract personnel as well as other functions on the general business management and operations such as Incurred Cost Submissions, Final Rate Agreements, data calls, guidance on particular topics/issues and maintenance of policies/procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Interface with Sector Contract Operations and US Controls Contracts team on activities that require support, input or response.
  2. Interface with representatives of USG DCMA/DCAA personnel supporting USC businesses and locations in the broader ES footprint on topics such as annual cancelling funds reconciliations and Final Rate Agreements.
  3. Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues as well as an understanding and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  4. Ability to interact with the team to gather, interpret, analyze, develop and recommended strategies and present information.
  5. Regular review and input to internal policy updates and revisions, with an aim of reflecting the optimum and most cost-efficient operating practices of the business.
  6. Support various ad-hoc data calls from Inc., plc, and other parts of the business.
  7. Keeping abreast of all current regulatory and legislative changes in the US DoD and commercial acquisition and procurement environments. Research new and proposed FAR/DFAR or commercial (AS9100-type) regulations and prepare briefings to educate the broader business on emerging acquisition/procurement initiatives that will have an impact on the business.
  8. Assist with maintenance of the ES Contracts Website, keeping content fresh, current, and relevant.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will
take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Remote work may be a possibility for this position, at the discretion of the business.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Sound interpersonal and conflict resolution skills for effective interfacing/coordination with company personnel, management and customers
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and analyze information in order to provide guidance to ES Business Areas
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws/regulations
  • Demonstrated presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of USG and commercial acquisition process, Contracts function, FAR/DFAR and other regulations
  • Proposal development experience


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102800 - $174800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
