The VSE team partners closely with Sales and customers to capture requirements and articulate how BMC's unique and differentiated capabilities can best serve customer needs. This is a highly visible team working with our most successful sales teams to support the most prestigious companies around the world. Join us as a Solution Engineer on our Digital Service Operations Management Presales team! As a Solution Engineer, you will be working directly with Sales and Presales organizations in order to create strategy, timelines and deliverables to align customers initiatives to BMC's solutions.
Here is how, through this exciting role, you will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
• Through a consultative approach, partner with sales teams to interpret often complex customer needs and develop innovative solutions delivering both business and technical value.  • Simplify the communication of both technical and business content to a varied audience (technical and non-technical customers).  • For a maximum impact on sales engagements, actively partner with the customer to document their current state, including applicable metrics to assist in defining the correct solution and support in business case creation and build deliverables for use by Sales and other Solution Engineers during the sales cycle. • Culminating from what is uncovered of the customers business and their goals, deliver compelling presentations, demonstrations, and proof of concepts.  • Challenge oneself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems.  • As every BMC employee, you will be given the opportunity to learn, be included in global projects, challenge yourself and be the innovator when it comes to solving everyday problems. To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset and experience:
• You can embrace, live and breathe our BMC values every day!  • 1+ years experience in a presales capacity, or relatable technical role  • Strong technical fundamentals in a relevant part of IT market (examples include networking, systems administration, development, application management, operations, etc.) • Experience navigating in the federal government space is a HUGE plus • Foundational knowledge of the Cloud, the ITOA or the Service Management marketplace • Demonstrated artistry with creating and delivering compelling demonstrations

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 
The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,625 - $164,375
