Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Planning Operations Manager to lead and optimize our supply planning processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain planning, exceptional analytical abilities, and a proven track record of effectively managing complex supply planning operations. As the Supply Planning Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely availability of products while balancing inventory levels and production capacities

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply planning strategies that align with business objectives and customer demand forecasts.

  • Collaborate with internal cross functional team (Merchandising, Logistics, Demand Planning and Supply Planning) to gather key data around product life cycle transition, forecasts, target inventory levels, and translating it into actionable supply plans that take lead time, supplier production capacities, and DC space into account.

  • Collaborates with supply chain partners (Suppliers, logistics and DC operations) to integrate the supply plan with the labor/capacity planning process to drive an efficient and optimized flow of goods across the supply chain.  

  • Support the development of an “On Time In Full (OTIF) Playbook“ for supply planning operations to develop a strong make/ship compliance with suppliers.

  • Manage supplier relationships and create processes to handle any supply-related issues as well as managing lead times and optimal container builds.

  • Leads monthly/bi-weekly meetings with cross functional team/leaders to socialize the future supply plan and gather alignment on end-to-end execution of the plan.

  • Leads and in charge of driving key performance metrics as it relates to supply plan including inventory health, supplier on time performance, accuracy of PO receipts, and reducing PO flow volatility.

  • Engages as needed with key supply partners (suppliers, inbound logistics, DC operators) as needed to drive improvements to the KPI.

  • Regularly analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to address deviations from targets.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization within the supply planning function and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline operations.

  • Play an integral part in developing and implementing next generation supply planning software/process to help in optimizing end to end flow across the supply chain.

  • Lead a team of supply planning professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • [5+] years of experience in supply chain planning, with a focus on supply planning operations and strategy.

  • Strong understanding of demand forecasting, production scheduling, inventory management, and capacity planning.

  • Proficiency in using supply chain planning software and tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
