Recycler

Among other duties, the Maintenance Recycler is responsible for breaking down and sorting cardboard boxes, and feeding the recycling machine.  This position reports to the Recycling Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for unloading of recyclable materials
• Relocating items to designated areas
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Operate equipment in a safe manner
• Report any and all unsafe conditions
• Other Duties: As required
• Decision Making Responsibilities:
  • Under direct supervision of the Facility Operations Manager/Team Leads, work is performed within  standard policies and procedures with little opportunity for un-reviewed decision-making 
  • no supervisory responsibilities. May provide assistance to less experienced staff.
  • no fiduciary responsibilities - this position does not have any direct financial responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• High School or equivalent experience in a Warehouse atmosphere
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
• Skilled at multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
• Must be able to work flexible hours determined by the needs of the department including weekends and evenings

Environment

• Continuous walking and standing
