The Director, Transitions reports to the Vice President and Head of Global Shared Services and is part of our Global Center of Excellence responsible for managing the effective transition of activities to our service delivery model and regional service hubs around the world; working with the regions to validate savings; ensuring delivery stability and readiness; and owning the continuity of our global centers including the implementation of standard methodologies and support. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the accurate and timely design, build, execution, quality assurance and delivery of new migrations to our regional SSC's.
  • Work with the Site Directors, process managers, and GPO's to identify other initiatives that will support the Global Shared Services annual plan and strategic direction.
  • Capture new opportunities and measure ongoing value generation achieved from improved service, increase capacity/productivity, reduced error rate, incremental savings, improved controls.
  • Own and direct our transition project cadence to ensure success including process design, knowledge transfer, ramp up, quality assurance, and service management.  In all cases, work with the respective process owner on these steps in the project cadence.
  • Distribute regular dashboard updates on project status.
  • Work with the Head of GSS to align on the delivery model for validating new opportunities and where to place work activities.
  • Present ideas for subsequent consolidation or migration of certain activities within our global delivery network.
  • Drive change management across our delivery centers and project teams as we transition services.
  • Ensuring sustainability of our delivery by identifying potential operating risks and working with the appropriate GSS team to mitigate.
  • Provide assurance across the GSS organization when it comes to change management discipline including project scope/coverage, validation, and stabilization/hypercare
  • Address operational or communication issues during the projects to ensure on-time execution and service.
  • Support GSS in ensuring one standard across our delivery centers for performance management.
  • Support GSS in ensuring one standard across our delivery centers for learning & development platform and courses.
  • Ensuring sustainability of our delivery by identifying potential risks and working with our continuous improvement team and site directors to mitigate.
  • Own the integration of our global SDM playbook to ensure all centers have the same level of support and are driving the same performance culture, disciplines, and methodologies.
  • Ensuring our teams across our centers have the tools they need to succeed.
  • Promoting a collaborative work environment by providing strategic and balanced oversight, proactively sharing GBS industry insights, knowledge, and experience.
  • Instill a culture of innovation to enhance efficiency and save costs across our global processes
  • Promote a mindset of end-to-end process engagement and leadership that will lead to downstream efficiencies. 
  • Work with other managers and individual contributors to maintain a culture of trust and understanding shared services capability focus and operational excellence.
  • Support Assistant Corporate Controller & Head of Global Shared Services on special projects and analysis across processes and centers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Finance / Business Administration required.
  • Familiar with a wide range of project management and/or process methodologies.
  • Experience in leading shared services integrations is a plus.
  • 5 or more years' experience in organizational change management with a track record of leading successful change management projects.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in the respective process area required; preferably in a shared service environment
  • Significant experience and use of relevant systems and technology in the respective process area is a plus
  • Experience with process mapping and process redesign tools
  • Strong analytical skills, collecting and analyzing data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions
  • Strong consultative and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, policies, practices, and accounting principles
  • Business process automation and leading technologies
  • Finance ERP and relevant technology/systems for respective process area
  • Finance and accounting controls environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with track record of superior customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, including active listening skills, verbal presentation skills and skills in presenting findings and recommendations
