The Promotion & Special Event Manager is responsible for creation, development, implementation, and execution of all promotions, special events, etc. for the property and outside exhibitions. The Promotion & Special Event Manager must maintain quality events in a fast paced, deadline driven environment while complying with all applicable TGA requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Report directly to the Director of Marketing Operations and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with peers on the Marketing Management team and Guest Experience team.
  • Build and maintain a rapport with multiple departments to ensure flawless preparation and execution of promotions & events.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing Operations in the maintenance of the property calendar, ensuring all events and promotions are in support of the property's continued revenue objectives while creating fun and exciting moments for Cache Creek guests.
  • Responsible for the ongoing monitoring and execution of promotions and events in compliance with the approved TGA submission. Responsible for providing guest feedback on the execution of promotions and events, including guest satisfaction.
  • Work within assigned budget and ensure a positive ROI pro-forma is complete by analytics before an activity is confirmed on the Marketing calendar.
  • Must be comfortable in large group settings and able to emcee promotions and events on stage/microphone.
  • Excellent interpersonal, guest service, communication, team building, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must maintain flexible availability; nights, weekends and holidays are required to perform this job successfully.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the promotion/event/relationship team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Experience and/or Education

Three years related experience in Marketing, Special Events, or related field; Bachelor's degree (B.A.); or equivalent combination of experience and education.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, mathematical or schedule form.

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License.


Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.
