Job Summary

Job Details
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Neurological Surgery Physician Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have an interest in assisting during surgery, perioperative management, and outpatient care of patients. This is a full-time position that comes with excellent benefits and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities:
We are searching for a candidate responsible for providing exceptional patient care by assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions involving the full spectrum of neurological surgery including spine, neuro-oncology, neuro-vascular, and trauma. You will work closely with the team of neurological surgeons, other CSNC physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals from multiple disciplines within the inpatient setting to provide comprehensive care to patients. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Developing treatment plans and prescribing medications
  • Assisting in surgical procedures, including intra-operative, pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Providing patient education and counseling on neurological surgery conditions and treatments
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Physician Assistant graduated from an accredited institution
  • Neurological surgery experience is preferred, but training is available for the interested physician assistant entering the field
  • Interest in assisting with surgery and peri-operative care
