Cartersville is seeking an UItrasound Technologist to work PRN.
Must smile and make eye contact. The Ultrasonographer performs Ultrasound procedures as ordered by approved members of the Medial Staff. The technologist will perform the primary function of acquiring images of anatomy with ultrasound equipment of all assigned patients, infancy through life span, in the Inpatient, Outpatient, ED or surgery setting. The technologist is responsible of meeting the established policies / standards of practice for this facility. Technologists should be able to identify problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient and must be able to plan and carry out individualized imaging and related patient care. Technologists must possess daily analytical and decision making skills. The Ultrasound technologist must participate in Performance Improvement activities in order to ensure Continuous Quality Improvement. Technologists will help with the acquisition and maintain of ACR accreditation of Ultrasound equipment / department. Technologists will be responsible for the quality of Ultrasound exams performed. The Ultrasound technologist will ensure the quality of the Ultrasound equipment while maintaining the established quality control methods for the equipment / products used. The technologist is responsible for maintenance / cleaning of all department Ultrasound probes. The technologist will ensure the timely ordering of supplies for the department. The technologist will maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-worker and all other customers. The technologist will promote a supportive, teamwork-oriented environment. The Technologist must fulfill departmental responsibilities with the long range, mission, vision and values of CMC. Ultrasound Technologists are expected to rotate of the Ultrasound on-call schedule for regular and holiday assignments. Handles and delivers medications as prescribed by a Licensed Independent Practitioner
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program.
Current ARDMS or ARRT(S) registry in Ultrasound specialty required.
Basic Healthcare Provider (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire or promotion.
Previous ultrasound experience preferred.
