A Patient Care Technicians main role is to provide basic care to patients, as well as assist them with things they might have trouble with on their own, such as bathing. Because of the personal nature of the job, a Patient Care Technician has strong people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others.About this unit:

10 to 12 Patient Ratio for PCTs
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
Under direct supervision of the Director or Manager, and close direction of a registered nurse, administers patient care and related activities, services and/or procedures to promote the physical and emotional health and personal comfort needs for assigned patients.
Delivery of patient care includes data collection, documentation, communication and implementation of patient care interventions in accordance with state Nursing Practice Acts and generic/unit structure standards.
The Patient Care Technician provides care for young adult patients 17 years and up; adult patients between 18 to 64 years; and geriatric patients 65 years and older.
- A minimum of a High school diploma or GED required.
1+ years of experience in an acute care setting, Preferred.
Missouri Certified Nursing Assistant License required :NO PRE TECH offered at this time
BLS certification required upon hire
