This is an exciting opportunity to join the growing Circle K Global Procurement team who are currently hiring for the role of:
Global Procurement ManagerType of Employment: Permanent
Location: Ireland, Dublin 4
Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided)
Reporting to the Global Procurement Director, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Procurement Manager to lead the development and delivery of strategic indirect procurement initiatives on a global scale. The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills combined with excellent stakeholder / vendor management expertise across a number of indirect categories.
What You'll Do:
Develop and execute global procurement strategies for assigned projects and categories to meet the needs of the organization.
Lead the negotiation of contracts with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and service level agreements.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and reduce spend. Drive standardization and leverage regional / global spend.
Provide strategic and tactical guidance on key categories based on global / national trends, internal and external best practices, and company performance objectives.
Consolidate vendor partners / distribution points, challenge current business models and promote business improvement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholder, key suppliers, fostering collaboration and partnership.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business, operations, technology, finance, legal) to align procurement activities with business objectives.
Monitor market trends and technology advancements to inform decisions and drive innovation.
Provide analysis and reports on spend, cost savings, and vendor performance.
Oversee the selection and evaluation of vendors via RFI's / RFP's, e-auctions whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree; Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or other related discipline. Master's degree preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education will be considered.
10 years related experience including 5+ years progressive experience of procurement and strategic sourcing in a global environment.
Self-driven personality focused on personal accountability, customer service and work efficiency with strong ability to secure execution.
Very strong commercial mindset and business acumen, with excellent negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
Strong leadership skills with proven experience in leading global cross-functional initiatives and driving change initiatives; ability to direct others according to company standards.
Analytical skillset with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and drive data-driven decisions; advanced experience with Microsoft applications (especially Excel and Word).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network, establish partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Good understanding of procurement best practices and processes, with experience of procurement technologies: spend analytics, e-procurement, RFX, supplier management, contract management, procure to pay.
Exemplary multitasking and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor the message and delivery to a wide range of internal and external stakeholder groups.
Pragmatic approach to non-traditional working hours, due to global time-zones.
Travel / Valid driver's license required.
