Description
As a Landscape Technician II, you would be responsible for overseeing the work planning and routing for various functional teams within Forestry Operations. You will work closely with the Forestry Leaders to ensure that staff are equipped with inventory information and maps to complete their day to day tasks and meet their work plan objectives and KPI's. You will oversee the yearly tree assessment and direct Landscape Technicians in the field assessing trees and updating the tree inventory.
Some key responsibilities are:
- Maintain GIS tree inventories and prepare routing work plans for operational teams
- Liaise between BI (Business Integration) and the GIS team to answer inventory related questions
- Answer questions regarding tree inventory and routing/scheduling
- Respond to notifications related to tree inventory, Curb to Property
- Update SAP, as required
- Quality assurance of inventory and updating of treatments, maps and Davey Tree Keeper
- Direct Landscape Technician l's for field work and annual tree assessment of tree inventory
- Pull information and data for special projects and analyze data. Create reports for staff (ie. diversity reports)
- Make recommendations for improvements
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare analysis and recommendations regarding new projects, new technologies and innovative delivery methods
- Research on mobile based and GIS solutions
- Other related duties as required
