Description

As the Manager of Payroll and Employee Records, you will report to the Employee Service Centre Director, supporting the strategic goals of the Employee Service Centre. You will be a key contributor in developing payroll policies, processes, and procedures that promote efficiency and consistency across the organization.

What will you do? 

  • Manage service delivery and resources to achieve high standards in accuracy, efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service
  • Develop short-term strategic plans and assist the Director with long-term strategic plans for the Employee Service Centre
  • Mentor, develop, engage, and train team members to understand procedures and meet client needs, providing senior problem-solving expertise
  • Advise on implementing Collective Agreements based on knowledge of payroll system's functional capabilities
  • Ensure compliance with policies, collective agreements, government requirements, and legislated obligations, with proper internal controls
  • Manage unit within budgetary constraints and initiate continuous process improvements
  • Co-lead the Employee Service Centre through Enterprise Commons, including payroll system integration, and champion ongoing system optimization projects
