Cognizant is expanding its Global Internal Communications team to accelerate the company's cadence of business and strategic communications for our global associates, drive employment engagement and retention, and elevate our diverse, dynamic and innovative culture through internal communication best practices and tools.
The Associate Director, Internal Communications will be a critical contributor in driving a comprehensive global communications strategy for the Chief People Officer (CPO) and the broader Human Resources organization. This person will support change communications for a variety of HR initiatives including career development, benefits programs, performance management, rewards and recognition, Diversity and Inclusion, and others. Additionally, the successful candidate will play a critical role in helping to engage associates and elevate culture across our global organization.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable both developing and executing change communications strategy. This person should have experience in working with senior leaders and with various Human Resources functions, and know how to convert employee communications strategies into measurable business results. This person should also be fiercely collaborative and adept at juggling multiple projects, delivering on tight deadlines, and working occasional flex hours. The role will report into HR Communications, a subset of Cognizant's internal communications team.
- Create and implement change communications strategies, messaging and collateral for key enterprise HR initiatives.
- Support the HR leadership team and other regional HR communications teams in achieving functional goals.
- Help to shape a cohesive global HR presence across internal digital platforms, in close partnership with global communications team members.
- Manage communications to and within HR, including organizational announcements, policy updates, people highlights and more via an HR newsletter, digital presence and other channels.
- Collaborate with the Global Internal Communications team on a coordinated communications calendar and messaging.
- Support distribution of messages from Cognizant's Chief People Officer.
