Inpatient Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time

Description: As a full-time, nonexempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various inpatient pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering ordered medication, restocking Omnicell cabinets and compounding sterile IV products using aseptic technique. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week. The schedule for this position is open to two of the following options: Five 8 hour shifts during the week ranging between the hours of 6:00am-9:30pm OR Five 8 hour shifts between the hours of 2:30pm-11:00pm. Both options include working every other weekend.
About the Facility: The Central Maine Healthcare is an integrated healthcare delivery organization serving central and western Maine. CMH's acute care facilities include Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital. Other CMH affiliates provide various outpatient and clinical services and maintain residential care facilities. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Maine Pharmacy Technician licensure active and in good standing
- Recent experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting preferred
- Experience in sterile compounding preferred
- Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills
