Corvallis Radiology, PC, is a well-established, independent, mid-sized private practice group providing medical imaging services in Central West Oregon. Radiology Physician Assistant:
We are seeking an addental Physician Assistant to join our team of 4 IR physicians and 1 PA-C in a group of approximately 20 radiologists. This can be a part time position but can be full time if preferred. Procedural experience is preferable; however, this is a potentially evolving position with opportunities for additional training and expansion of skillset. The candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a busy hospital setting and work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple physicians. Dedication to team-based patient care and outstanding communication skills are essential.
The position will be based in Albany and Lebanon, Oregon but may involve occasional travel to other Samaritan Health System hospitals.

Job responsibilities:

  • Work with IR physicians to manage the daily workflow of the Interventional Radiology patient schedule.
  • Perform and document diagnostic and therapeutic Interventional Radiology procedures including paracentesis and thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, joint injection, and aspiration.
  • Other procedures such as ultrasound and CT-guided lymph node/soft/solid organ biopsy, ultrasound and CT-guided drain placements, port and tunneled catheter placement and removal, enteric tube placement, gastrostomy/nephrostomy/biliary tube changes can be offered based upon candidate training.
  • Perform and document diagnostic fluoroscopic exams such as barium esophagrams and upper GI studies.
  • Afterhours and weekend call for light IR procedures
