Accounting analyst, Merchandising
Location: Laval, Quebec
Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Hybrid Mode: 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely

Under the responsibility of the Merchandise Accounting Manager, within the Operational Accounting team, the Merchandise Accounting Analyst will provide an accounting service to the stores under his responsibility while analyzing what concern the merchandise in store as well as various items appearing on the income statement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Here are just a few ways that you'll help make journeys better:
Analyze inventory discrepancies that are not within norms and make the necessary corrections;
Analyze balance sheet items related to store accounting;
Analyze expense items on the store income statement versus the budget;
Analyze the average cost of merchandise and make the necessary corrections;
Validate all data provided by the store and the stakeholders;
Produce documents required by SOX standards;
Respond to questions from managers regarding the processing of accounting data or financial statements;
Prepare notes to financial statements to ensure understanding and accuracy of data provided.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
We want you to join our team! Here's what we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in accounting OR equivalent experience;
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience;
Knowledge and skills:
Good knowledge of Excel;
Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle;
Ability to meet deadlines;
Ability to manage multiple files;
Customer service skills.
Bilingual (French and English).
