Senior Analyst, Capex Allocation

Hybrid mode: 3 days at the office and 2 days remotely

Type of employment:  Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

THE ROLE

The position will be part of the Global Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team providing financial guidance on all matters around Capital (CAPEX) allocation and management Globally.  In the role, you will help to facilitate the allocation of capital to projects and business units to drive company growth aligned with our strategic initiatives. This is a role established to strengthen value creation by better capital allocation and management processes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support gathering and consolidating annual capex requirements; 

  • Help business planning team in developing long-term performance forecasts;

  • Assist business planning team with short-term and long-term P&L/cash flow impact of capital expenditures during investment planning period;

  • Assist business planning team with budgeting of benefits associated with capital expenditures;

  • Define capital reporting requirements and standards;

  • Track, analyze and provide insights on CAPEX categories and project spend actuals, forecasts, and work in progress;

  • Work with project teams to understand progress, forecast of spend and potential challenges;

  • Consult and assist with review of capital expense business cases;

  • Analyze performance of historic capital investments (ROI, ROCE, Cash flow) – value creation;

  • Collaborate with the accounting, controlling and tax teams, coordinate accounting of global projects capital across the company;

  • Assists with special projects as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business.

  • CPA required

Experience:

  • 5-7 years relevant experience preferably in financial analysis, strategic planning, or budgeting and forecasting.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Must have advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint;

  • Work experience with MS Power BI is advantage;

  • Experience with accounting applications such as PDI & JDE Oracle would be a plus

  • Must have strong analytical and quantitative abilities; Must have strong attention to detail while being able to synthesis information;

  • Experience working with large and complex datasets;

  • Must have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of management;

  • Comfortable working independently, in cross-functional teams, and in a global role;

  • Must be willing to adapt to a dynamic business environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines;

  • Motivated by challenging tasks and complex projects across many countries and regions.

Language skills

  • Bilingualism required (French and English), both written and spoken, as the person will be called upon to serve English-speaking regions.
