Senior Software Engineer
CPS Solutions, LLC
Remote (position may be asked to transition to our Atlanta based office in the future)

The Senior Software Engineer will work with engineering leadership, clients, and product team to ensure deliverable commitments are met.  They will also serve as a primary technical resource with responsibility for the implementation, support, optimization and / or upgrade of CPS and Therigy solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with our consulting team and CPS IT leadership, works to develop software solutions to meet client needs including problem definition, process requirements, proposed solutions, and ultimate solution development.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepares, tests, and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improves operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures, and identifying enhancements.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues. Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in health care, pharmaceuticals, or managed care
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science related field or in lieu of 5+ years of related experience and education
  • 4 years of related experience
  • Experience with Javascript, NodeJS and the React library
  • Familiarity with using opensource development utilities and frameworks
  • Able to work in a MacOS based development environment
  • Experience with Relational databases (MySQL preferred)
  • Experience with designing user interfaces
  • Experience Writing unit and end-to-end tests
  • Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally
  • Building and consuming REST APIs
  • Building and consuming GraphQL APIs
  • Basic experience using AWS
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Experience working in a containerized docker environment
