Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem 
South Sound Behavioral Hospital
Lacey, WA

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at South Sound Behavioral, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy. 

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will provide PTO coverage as needed. 

About the Facility:  South Sound Behavioral Hospital is a new 138-bed psychiatric hospital that opened in May of 2019.  South Sound provides a full continuum of behavioral and addiction treatment services to patients of all ages - adolescents, adults, and senior adults. South Sound provides free assessments on a 24/7 basis as well as inpatient and intensive outpatient care. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00am-1:00pm.  The pharmacy utilizes CPOE and software HCS and Omnicell. 

Required qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
  • Current Washington Pharmacist license in good standing 
  • Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred 
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required):  

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months 
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity 
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity 
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th 
  • COVID Vaccine - Full (required)
