  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • The LTC Clinical Manager is responsible for the coordination, planning, implementing and evaluation of the nursing services provided to residents on a 24 hour basis.  Provides clinical leadership and supervision of day-to-day activities.  Collaborates with other clinical leaders to promote professional nursing practices and to facilitate cost effective resident care.  The LTC Clinical Manager assures that nursing practice is within compliance of state and federal regulations, and organization policies, procedures and standards.  The LTC Clinical Manager assists with the annual budgeting process.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Education and Experience:
        • Preferred Bachelors Degree in Nursing
        • A minimum of two years Long-Term Care experience in a supervisory rols
        • Knowledge of Federal/State Regulations preferred
    • License/Certificates:
      • Minnesota RN license in good standing. American Heart Association BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
      1. Assists the Director to ensure adequate/appropriate staffing ratios for LTC.
      2. Reviews, interprets, and assists the Director or Nursing to develop and/or revise established policies and procedures to ensure standards of care are maintained across nursing department.
      3. Makes recommendations for education opportunities for staff members.
      4. Responsible for making sure that preceptor/new employee orientation and competencies are completed timely.
      5. Assists with development, analysis and interpretation of state and federal regulations regarding provision of health care related services.
      6. Monitors resident satisfaction and takes appropriate action.
      7. Communicates and collaborates with the Director of Nursing regarding resident care issues, unit needs, and reportable situations.
      8. Assists in the budget process and collaborates with the Director of Nursing to enhance staff efficiency and maintain a cost effective nursing service.
      9. Participates in quality assurance process.
      10. Collaborates with Editions Department to identify continuing education programs to improve nursing staff competency.
      11.  Maintains current skill and knowledge through continuing education.
      12. Participates in committees as directed by the Director of Nursing.
      13. Evaluates performance of staff.  Takes action to correct performance issues and maintain standards of care.
      14. Conducts daily rounds with residents and staff to assure a team approach for care delivery.  Provides feedback to staff and to the Director of Nursing as appropriate.
      15. In the absence of the D.O.N. assumes overall responsibility for the Nursing Department.  Participates in the on-call RN rotation.
      16. Engages staff in meeting CRMC mission, vision, values, and goals.  Assure staff embrace the Care Center's vision to make life pleasant for residents.
      17. Demonstrate Standards of Excellence when other duties are assigned.
