About the Role: As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at CRMC, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia and related services. Your contributions will be integral to the care provided by other departments, and you'll be at the forefront of ensuring our patients receive the best care possible. By leading our nursing team, you will help us achieve our goals of excellence and efficiency in patient care.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) and the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

License/Certificates:

• RN License to practice in the State of Minnesota, complying with state statutory or regulatory requirements for advanced nursing practice.
• Certification by the NBCRNA, or eligibility for initial certification.
• Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer.
• Current membership with AANA and MANA.

Special Skills and Aptitudes:

• In-depth knowledge of anesthesia principles, practices, and techniques.
• Proven self-direction with strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Adherence to the scope of practice and guidelines of AANA.
• Familiarity with state and federal accrediting agency standards and compliance.

• Prioritize patient welfare above all else.
• Demonstrate resourcefulness in emergency situations.
• Maintain high ethical standards, including patient confidentiality.
• Continuously monitor and understand patient conditions during anesthesia.
• Recognize and interpret symptoms, planning and initiating appropriate anesthetic interventions.
• Perform duties in accordance with CRMC policies and collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Administer medication and perform various anesthesia techniques.
• Maintain accurate and complete anesthesia records.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in anesthesia skills, technology, and healthcare requirements.
• Exhibit a Can-Do Spirit while performing other duties as assigned.

Site Description:

Crosby-Ironton, is a city of 3,000 residents, and is part of the Brainerd and Cuyuna Lakes Area in central Minnesota which has become a top 5 destination in the United States for mountain biking.  Crosby is just 15 miles from Brainerd, MN, and 2 hours from Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. The Brainerd Regional Airport, which is serviced by Delta Airlines, is located 11 miles from Crosby.  We are within a 2 ½ -hour radius of Alexandria, Duluth and St. Cloud.
