The Clinical Dispensing Pharmacist will report to a General Pharmacy Manager and will develop and implement strategies to improve operational excellence and outstanding customer service within the assigned pharmacy. The Clinical Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring operational excellence through the delivery of the right drug, to the right place, at the right time! As a national leader in the home infusion field, we seek to hire those special pharmacists who not only possess strong clinical expertise, but the kind of deep compassion and sensitivity it takes to build one-on-one relationships and support patients receiving infusion therapy in the comfort of their home. *Key responsibilities:* * Clinically interprets and evaluates all physician medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, cost effectiveness, accuracy, safety, and completeness. Performs accurate computer order entry, labeling and dispensing in accordance with policies and procedures and State Board of Pharmacy regulations. * Initiates, reviews, and updates all required documentation to verify accuracy, communicating clinical and technical information and monitoring to other members of the healthcare team and patient when appropriate. * Works with product procurement/reimbursement team to provide payor specific formulary products and ensure product availability for new medication orders. * Participates in patient evaluation for acceptance, product selection, device selection, and supply management, working with admission team and nursing agency to coordinate medication preparation and delivery. * When assigned clean room responsibilities, directly supervises pharmacy support personnel in the appropriate compounding, packaging, and labeling of compounded sterile products. Supervises pharmacy support personnel in the appropriate product procurement, preferred product utilization, and inventory management. Complies with cleanroom policies in accordance with USP 797 and USP 800 for safe compounding practices, maintaining quality assurance (QA) documentation. * Maintains security of all legend items and accurately maintains all legally required records in compliance with state and federal regulations. Complies with FDA mandates and self-imposed manufacturer restrictions on particular drugs, as applicable. * Participates in Performance Improvement activities, educational programs, and departmental/branch meetings. * Assists in training and orientation of new employees as requested by pharmacy manager or designee. * Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including on-call responsibilities. * Partner with reporting managers and work closely with the nursing and sales team * Communicates appropriately with all members of the branch and healthcare team. * *Must participate in 7on 7off On-call rotation* Our Redmond, WA branch is seeking a full time Home Infusion pharmacist Business hours M-F 8am to 5 pm PST. Must participate in 7 on 7 off on-call rotation. *Required Qualifications* * Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university. * License to practice pharmacy in state of Washington. Must be active and in good standing. * 1-2 years of clinical pharmacy experience *Preferred Qualifications* * 2-4 years of clinical pharmacy experience * Home infusion experience or sterile compounding experience *Education:* * B.S. or doctorate of pharmacy degree is required CVS Health is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
