Duties include: establishing and maintaining patterns of usage of platform services to meet business and technical goals, including automating data collection from common data sources, managing efficient data storage in the Application Performance Management and Monitoring tools, rendering insights for the user based on defined SLOs and SLIs, and identifying and implementing proactive actions based on such insights; providing guidance to business teams and Enterprise Architects with respect to technology selection and strategy; creating design documents and wherever possible turning into implementable code (policy, configuration, orchestration templates, small apps, scripting, etc.); optimizing platform services processes; communicating architectural guidance and related instantiation services to peers and leadership; all of the above across a large scale heterogeneous technology environment including public, private, and hybrid cloud as well as critical non-cloud systems. *Required Qualifications:* - 10+ years of experience in IT - 3+ years of management / technical advisory experience - 4+ years of experience in Observability platforms supporting Metrics, Events, Logging and Tracing technologies (Open Telemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Kafka) - 2+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, VMware ESXi and associated tools, IBM mainframe or midrange - 2+ years of experience in at least half of the following areas: networking (routing, switching, firewalls, ADCs/LBs, DNS), database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MongoDB, Cosmos, Hadoop, Redis) and data management technologies, coding (Python, R, Java, Go, Node.js), deployment orchestration tooling (Ansible, Terraform, ARM, or similar), development frameworks (Spring, .NET, React, Angular), observability (metrics, events, logs, traces), integration layers (queues, event buses, streams, APIs), application migration to cloud or containers with high levels of resiliency and geographic resiliency - 4+ years of experience with Agile methodologies (LESS may be more)6+ years of experience working in a regulated industry, including success in a technical management role in the healthcare, finance, or related highly regulated industry. *Preferred Qualifications:* 6+ years of experience working in a regulated industry, including success in a technical management role in the healthcare, finance, or related highly regulated industry. *Education:* Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $144,200.00 - $288,400.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.    In addition to your compensation, enjoy the rewards of an organization that puts our heart into caring for our colleagues and our communities.  The Company offers a full range of medical, dental, and vision benefits.  Eligible employees may enroll in the Company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan is also available for eligible employees.  The Company provides a fully-paid term life insurance plan to eligible employees, and short-term and long term disability benefits.
