The *Vice President, Aetna Interoperability* is a critical leadership role responsible for setting and delivering Aetna's Interoperability strategy which will enable access, integration, and use of electronic health data in order to optimize health outcomes and experience for the members we serve.  Our strategy will focus on operational execution to deliver excellent results across key business and clinical metrics by making relevant data available at the time of interaction. This will enhance the overall experience of our Aetna members, provide efficiency in administrative costs, and ensure that we meet regulatory requirements as well. Scope of work includes leadership direction, talent development, cultivating and managing external vendor relationships, assessing vendor offerings and services, identifying strategic, innovative solutions for clinical data exchange, and leading matrixed teams to ensure successful delivery of the Interoperability strategy. *Key Responsibilities* * Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-line of business Interoperability strategy aligned with the Aetna's goals and objectives. * Develop and oversee the management process by which Aetna's Interoperability strategy delivers value across the domains of acquiring data, transforming data to enable a clinical workflow, presenting data to inform care delivery, and returning actionable data regarding care delivery outcomes. * Develop and oversee execution of Interoperability solution roadmaps for the comprehensive portfolio of Interoperability assets (ex. EPIC, athena, Datavant, among others). * Advocate in partnership with Government Affairs to influence Interoperability regulations.  Oversee Aetna compliance of finalized interoperability regulations. * Engage with and understand respective offerings of potential Interoperability/health data vendors, data aggregators, and state HIEs to collaborate on the evaluation of these products and services for Interoperability use case solution design. * Engage with Privacy Office, Legal, Government Affairs and Regulatory Affairs to evaluate business interpretation of market dynamics and ensure alignment with Interoperability strategy. * Engage internal and external customers, line of business leaders and providers respectively, for direct voice of the customer feedback to inform strategy and solution design. * Own the overall delivery of the Interoperability solutions, in close collaboration with cross functional partners like Analytics & Behavior Change, IT, Clinical Platforms, Utilization Management, Care Management, Value Based Care contracting, among others. * Oversee funding and delivery of Interoperability pipeline. * Engage with Procurement on vendor contracting and management. * Participate in industry collaboration initiatives that will influence industry adoption of Interoperability capabilities. *Pay Range* The typical pay range for this role is: $240,000 - $340,000 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus and  also includes an award target in the company's equity award program. Number of paid holidays, sick time and other time off are provided consistent with relevant state law and Company policies.    For more detailed information on available benefits, please visit [jobs.CVSHealth.com/benefits](https://jobs.cvshealth.com/benefits) *Required Qualifications* * 15+ years of experience in strategy, health data, operations, business analysis, IT with demonstrated business impact * Direct experience working with and implementing Epic Platform (interoperability modules including Care Everywhere, Healthy Planet, Direct Messaging, Referral Mgmt) and knowledge of Interoperability strategies across the health data ecosystem * Direct strategic relationship management experience with Interoperability vendors across the health data ecosystem * Direct experience working with Interoperability and industry standards for data exchange (CCD, XML, HL7, FHIR, HIE connectivity) * Direct experience working with and implementing Electronic Health Record (EHR) vendors and state HIEs * Experience with business application of clinical data & bi-directional data sharing expertise; knowledge of HEDIS and VBC * Proven track record managing complex and cross functional projects and or programs that successfully resulted in material business impacts * Ability to work Hybrid in an Aetna hub *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience in health insurance industry, preferably in a provider organization and/or in a payer organization in roles related to key interactions between payer and provider (ex: Value Based Care, Claims, Contracting) * Successful engagement with senior leaders in distributed organizations on projects that require alignment, prioritization, and synthesis * Data-Driven: leverages data and insights to make informed business decisions; incorporates appropriate insights into business deliverables * Sets Direction of the strategic business plan and translates into vision for staff/others * Curiosity: collaborates with business partners to understand their strategy, problems, and goals; works with senior leaders to identify opportunities to implement solutions. * Beacon for Culture: demonstrated experience building and enhancing organizational accountability, trust, and partnership * Positively Influence stakeholders to support key projects/programs to ensure positive outcomes that deliver on results * Communication: confident, succinct verbal communicator; produces effective written communication with little input from senior leader *Education* * Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience. * Master's degree in quantitative field or MBA will be valued We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on: 04/05/2024CVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.  You are required to have received at least one COVID-19 shot prior to your first day of employment and to provide proof of your vaccination status or apply for a reasonable accommodation within the first 10 days of your employment.
