Morehead City, North Carolina

Morehead City comprises beautiful beaches along the 85-mile shoreline. The town has a population of 9,556 people during the 2020 census.

There are a good number of things to do in Morehead City. This town blooms with numerous tourist sites and artful and historical culture. There are many water-related activities to partake in when you visit, including swimming, beachcombing, etc.

  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Primary focus of practice is the independent clinical evaluation of Veterans through their panel of patients including prevention and patient self-management. Comprehensive primary care will be provided to male and female Veterans.
  • Care may be provided in many modalities, from direct face to face care, virtual care (including telephonic, video, secured messaging and others)
  • Promotes, directs, evaluates and is responsible for referral to management of clinical concerns that are found during these evaluations.
  • Functions as a member of a Patient Aligned Care Team, collaborating with clinical and administrative support to provide timely, quality, coordinated care for Veterans.
  • Utilizes and promotes approved standards of care, procedures, methods and techniques, safety precautions and protocols.
  • Collaborates with other health care resources to ensure continuity of care.
  • Keeps abreast of latest trends, skills, procedures, and protocols relevant in the area of specialty.
  • May provide coverage in primary care clinics.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities.
  • Participates and attends medical center committees.

Education/Research Duties:

  • Assures self-development responsibilities and maintains current knowledge of trends in clinical care and the theory, evidence base and implementation of team-based medical care.
  • Participate in clinical research programs when appropriate.
  • If involved in an outgoing research project, abides by all VA regulations governing research.
  • May participate in clinical education when appropriate.
