DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain full authority with responsibility for the following activities: Patient Care Aligned Team (Main Facility VA Primary Care, Kenosha Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC), Evanston CBOC, and McHenry CBOC), Women's Health), Medical Home Port (DoD Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Immunization.
  • Uses an analytical framework to create an environment that facilitates the delivery of care. Coordinates and evaluates integrated programs or demonstrates clinical excellence in management of population groups.
  • Provides executive input in the strategic planning, budget, mission, operational planning, and policy development for local and network efforts.
  • Utilizes current trends and relevant theories in an analytical framework to design/modify, implement, and measure integrated programs and activities to achieve clinical and administrative goals of the medical center and/or network. Evaluates outcomes against strategic priorities.
  • Demonstrates substantial and continuous responsibility for directing and managing an integrated program crossing electronic health records, screening requirements, and different clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction scores (e.g. VSignals, SHEP, SAIL, EPRP, PMP; PACT ACT, Mission Act, etc.).
  • Consultant to medical center staff and greater community in areas of expertise.
  • Demonstrates grade-appropriate, consistent critical thinking skills.
  • Provides leadership in addressing ethical issues that impact patients and staff in or beyond the organization and the local health care community.
  • Assumes a leadership role in resolving highly complex ethical issues that have an impact upon the health care delivery system and/or the consumer within the organization and/or the community.
  • Provides leadership in the development of policies and systems to devise strategies that will enable the organization to successfully manage bioethical issues and protect patient and family rights.
REQUIREMENTS:
a. Have and maintain board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine (required)
b. Be proficient in the written and spoken use of the English language.
c. Have a basic understanding in the VHA credentialing and privilege process.
d. Have at least 5 years experience in healthcare leadership, directly supervising staff and performing labor relations/ employee relations/ performance appraisals related tasks (3 years experience MUST be within a VA healthcare facility (required))
e. Have and maintain current certification in CPR/BLS (required).

Compensation Information:
$250000.0 / Annually - $250000.0 / Annually
Additional Compensation:
25000.0

Education and length of practice are considered through a formal pay-setting process to determine the final compensable salary (Base Pay+ Market Pay)


Starting At: 250000.0 Annually
Up To: 295000.0 Annually
