Job Details:

General Summary:

The team explores, implements and analyzes in-store process improvements to reduce, eliminate or change the work in order to make operating a store more efficient or simpler. This role identifies and evaluates new technologies and processes, manages initiatives, oversees implementations, and works cross-functionally with other departments.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects, including defining measures of success, establishing timelines, creating communications, and reporting on results to leadership.
  • Manage implementations, including working cross-functionally with other departments, developing and conducting training, and creating and executing software test plans.
  • Identify potential technology and process improvement initiatives, perform financial analysis, build business cases and presentations.
  • Collect, manage and analyze data to measure the impact of initiatives.
  • Provide leadership support, coaching and development to Store Operations analysts and managers.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Experience implementing a retail Workforce Management (Scheduling / Time & Attendance) is a significant plus
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, preferably at a large chain of small format stores
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Proficiency in data analysis and databases such as SQL and Access (1010data is a plus)
  • Experience managing time & labor studies in a retail environment
  • Experience leading retail technology implementations and other operational initiatives
  • Experience developing training materials, working with Learning Management Systems, and comfortable leading training sessions in a classroom setting
  • Strong understanding of technology, including familiarity of Software Development Life Cycle, web development and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and communication
  • Experience managing budgets and financial analysis.
  • Ability to prepare presentations and present to leadership

 

Work Experience &/or Education

Bachelor's degree in business and five to seven years of project management, store operations leadership, and/or department management required.
