Job Summary

Responsible for developing, implementing and promoting initiatives to improve employee health and well-being.  Has responsibility for executing and monitoring projects, programs, and services that increase engagement and participation, and reduce population health risks.  Prepares and delivers key presentations to the leadership team. Span of control: This is an individual contributor job.

Key Accountabilities
  • Acts as a thought partner to leadership in the development and prioritization of long-term strategies to achieve successful employee health outcomes.
  • Supports annual benefit and health incentive structure design and leads implementation and ongoing administration of health incentive programs.
  • Provides guidance and oversight of the implementation process for vendor programs and serves as an expert on all operational aspects of programs.
  • Creates/assists in the development of the wellness and health promotion scorecard and operating plan.
  • Mentors, teaches and provides operational guidance to onsite staff.
  • Leads day-to-day operational and tactical program and project management activities.
  • Analyzes existing projects, programs, and services through after action reviews and other effectiveness reviews to determine improvements or recommendations for expansion or phase-out.
  • Fosters internal and external relationships; negotiates with external partners; guides and supports the efforts of cross-functional, internal and external resource teams.
  • Represents DTE Energy with vendors and at industry associations.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in health education, public health, health promotion, business, health care administration or other allied health profession.
  • 5 plus years of directly related experience (i.e. experience in health education and promotion, developing/implementing wellness programs, etc.), inclusive of 1-year experience in contract negotiation and/or management.
Other Qualifications


  • Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Policy or other allied health profession.
  • Project Management experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Computer skills including MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and project management software.
  • Excellent knowledge in project management, problem solving, performance monitoring and team leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at all levels inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to foster a continuous learning environment through personal commitment to knowledge growth.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and groups to achieve effective and efficient results.
  • Ability to thrive in a non-structured environment, deliver results through cross-functional collaboration, and manage multiple projects.
