Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the Grandville location Technical/Assembly Team consisting of 4-6 associates.
  • Schedule and oversee all Production, Kitting and Service work as assigned to the production floor.
  • Experience with troubleshooting, assembling, and fabricating Hydraulic and Mechanical Systems
  • Maintaining customer relationship while working through any technical issues as it relates to both Warranty and Service-related opportunities.
  • May be required to visit Customer locations for service-related needs.
  • Implement & continuously work on production process and quality improvements
  • Lead root cause analysis for all concerns related to assemblies.
  • Manage, Track and report production equipment PM/CM, calibration & facility maintenance jobs to Operations Manager
  • Ensure assembly inventory availability & discrepancy correction
  • Periodically review production documentation for accuracy.  Work with necessary teams to correct any findings found to be inaccurate.
  • You will be required to use Prophet 21 (ERP) to process daily Production and Service Order related transactions
  • Hire, train and develop production associates using the Performance Management System and its tools.
  • Visually verifies product compliance to customer and company specifications.
  • Functionally verifies product performance to the defined test criteria and perform testing
  • Utilizes hand and power tools, electronic and pneumatic testing fixtures and devices.
  • Complete department work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Create assembly instruction, rework instructions, or redline documentation and communicate corrective action direction to the appropriate parties when necessary.
  • Go through technical manuals, blueprints, and CAD drawings for assembly & servicing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

               

  • 3+ years' experience in component level trouble shooting and repair
  • 1+ year working knowledge of all brands of pumps, valves, motors, and cylinders
  • 1+ year working knowledge of troubleshooting hydraulic circuits
  • Forklift operation
  • High school diploma or GED

 

Preferred:

 

  • Leadership experience
  • Support warehouse operations from production perspective
  • Small to mid-size project management
  • IFPS certification
  • Bending tube and pipe experience
  • General welding skills

 

Desired characteristics:

 

  • Ability to work from drawings, prints, schematics, diagrams, bills of materials, customer specifications and written/verbal instructions
