JOB PURPOSE: Position is responsible for providing training and support to teachers and assisting with Mathematics program implementation. Position conducts staff development, performs classroom visitations, collects and reports student data, and monitors program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and conducts in-service training for Mathematics teachers regarding the program, instructional strategies, and best practices.
  • Performs classroom visitations, assists teachers in the improvement of instructional performance, and monitors improvement.
  • Demonstrates lessons in classroom situations for observation by teachers.
  • Coordinates the testing of students.
  • Coordinates Mathematics schedules with existing instructional programs.
  • Coordinates community and parent involvement in mathematics through partnerships, events, after-school clubs, etc.
  • Leads and coordinates mathematics extracurricular programming – tutoring and enrichment.
  • Monitors the progress of students.
  • Serves as a resource to school administrators and content area teachers in identifying mathematics needs, adapting instructional techniques, and implementing Mathematics program.
  • Assists with the development of school mathematics teams.
  • Collects and reports student data.
  • Initiates and maintains effective liaisons with district and professional associations to maintain a current knowledge of Mathematics and instructional best practices.

  10. Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS).
  11. Good knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures.
  12. Detailed knowledge of Federal, State, and local requirements for K-12 schools and charter school law.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with CSUSA salary and benefit policy. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by Charter Schools USA.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

EVALUATION
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with Charter Schools USA Policy.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's degree and eligibility for Florida teaching certification.
  • Demonstrated evidence of involvement in school activities involving leadership responsibilities.
  • Effective instructional delivery techniques and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS).
