We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team!

Preferred location:  This is a remote position which requires the selected candidate to reside/relocate in the surrounding area where the position is located Pacific Northwest.

What you'll do at Elekta:

The Associate Field Service Technician must be customer focused and able to perform all mechanical and electronic repairs required in a timely fashion while meeting all required administrative requirements.  This position warrants the highest level of professional representation between the customer and the company in all aspects of the customer relations.  It also warrants the undivided support of projects, programs, and policies established by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform low risk troubleshooting and repairs on the Brachy system with a 50% success rate of diagnosing the problem while working within the escalation procedure.

  • Perform supervised calibrations, repairs, installs and preventative maintenance on the Brachy system.

  • Successfully complete assigned Technical Trainings

  • Work safely on Elekta's Brachy products.

  • Read and analyze schematics and wiring diagrams.

  • Submit timely and accurate service reports, timesheets, expense reports, film badges, and other paperwork as assigned.

  • Parts inventory management.

  • Maintain all company-leased equipment, including company automobile, parts, test equipment and tools.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Incorporate Elekta's Values into all department functions and responsibilities.

  • Adhere to all Elekta directives, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Employees must be able to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language.

  • Associate Degree, Technical School or equivalent experience in Electronics/Elektrical Engineering or Biomed Technology.

  • Possess a good electronics and mechanical aptitude.

  • Computer literate.

  • Proficiency in the use of test equipment and hand tools i.e. Oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.

  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours when needed.

  • Uphold Elekta's philosophy and all policies and procedures by maintaining appropriate controls to assure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of our organization.

  • Must maintain an active driver's license in the home state

  • Employee is required to comply with all customer vendor credentialing requirements and Elekta's COVID-19 (U.S.) Vaccination Policy.

The US base salary range for this position is $54,000-$67,000
