Job Summary:
The Credit and Insurance Representative is responsible for notifying insurance companies of emergency admissions. Verifies insurance benefits for emergency admissions. Performs financial counseling functions for patients who do not have any insurance or inadequate insurance coverage.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions in order to review HDX insurance verification responses and other pertinent documents.
- Interpersonal skills in order to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, insurance companies, public assistance agencies, and other departments within the hospital.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and multitask.
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma required.
