Description

We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Services (IS) Helpdesk Support Engineer to join our team. As a Helpdesk Support Engineer, you will support our in-house IS department in providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware and software. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, assist with the implementation of new technologies, and provide training and support to our user base.

Requirements

  • Some formal academic/technical training with 6 months or more of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and software.
  • Windows OS – experience installing current Microsoft windows operating system, locating, installing, and upgrading drivers, experience customizing and configuring the OS to suit preferences or requirements.
  • Office – experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with hardware and software installation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CompTia Security+ certification or be able to acquire within 90 days of start date
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN & MAINTAIN A PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A US CITIZEN.

Division Description

Information Services is comprised of the Information Systems and Technology (IST) Division and Information Security (InfoSec). It is responsible for building and operating ENSCO's critical information technology systems and services, cybersecurity, and information security compliance.

Responsibilities of the IST Division include aligning information technology investments with business goals and requirements; understanding a diverse ecosystem of technology needs, security risks and compliance requirements; and building the systems, processes and personnel resources required to meet these challenges. The IST Division also encompasses responsibility for securing ENSCO's information infrastructure in accordance with various compliance regulations. IST Division personnel are high performers specializing in information technology while maintaining broad subject matter expertise. The IST Division adheres to lean IT methodology and implements KANBAN project management and task management approaches to achieve rapid and effective deployments of new technologies.

Although information security is a companywide responsibility InfoSec works to ensure all infrastructure is secure, patched, and compliant with regulatory standards such as PCI, HIPAA, and 800-xx, etc.
