Description

We are looking to hire a Material Coordinator for our manufacturing production located in Hauppauge, NY. We are an equal opportunity employer in a stable industry. Responsibilities for our Material Coordinator include:

  • Assist Purchasing Mgr. (Buyer/Planner) in ensuring materials are present with each Job order released to production.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP to analyze material availability and expected material receipt date.
  • Assist Production Supervisor in communicating material requirements.
  • Assist Production Supervisor in organizing materials in order to meet production goals.
  • Interface with Engineering as required to troubleshoot bill of material inaccuracies.
  • Provide support to Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality through participation in process control activities as required.
  • Ensure that the correct inventory transactions are taking place in MRP/ERP – Purchase Order, Inventory and Short List Updates.
  • Perform Cycle counts to ensure inventory counts ion stock and Floor inventory are correct at all time.
While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time (when kitting).

Qualifications

 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while maintaining focus on objectives.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems.

Requirements

 Bachelor's degree or equivalent education & experience in supply chain management or related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience in material coordination or similar roles within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a production setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in inventory management and data entry.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and inventory management software.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
