Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
The NGL Measurement Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform meter provings on turbine meters and coriolis meters with stationary prover or portable prover.
- Perform pyc tests on densitometers.
- Pull composite samples and maintain composite samplers.
- Perform functions with flow computers.
- Perform calibrations on pressure and temperature transmitters.
- Perform mechanical functions and duties of inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance.
- Possess strong mechanical /electrical aptitude and skills.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Can follow written and verbal instruction.
- Be able to issue work day reports.
- Able and willing to work in either a team environment or an a individual bases as circumstances warrant.
- Routinely reviews procedures as necessary to achieve good workmanlike performance and ensures compliance of all company and industry standards to meet the requirements of all regulatory agencies.
- Properly completes records of time and required regulatory reports.
- Maintains close contact with the supervisor regarding maintenance trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to effect a minimum interruption of product throughput.
- Participate in available cross training to effectively develop skills in areas specific to other technicians.
- Attend all safety meetings and safety training courses as required by regulatory agencies.
- Drive and operate a prover truck to/from locations that require monthly provings.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Associates degree in technical field (I & E, measurement, electronics, etc.) is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills is required.
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office Suites required.
- Understanding of equipment repair manuals, federal, state and local codes and regulations is required.
- Ability to produce understandable and accurate reports and records is required.
- Current driver's license and good driving record is required. Class A driver's license is preferred.
- Ability to perform work independently as well as a team environment is required.
- Dependable and reliable with good organization skills is required.
- Willing to take call-outs and work overtime is required.
- Ability to follow written or spoken work instructions is required.
- Must live or relocate to within 1 hour of reporting location is required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
