Job Overview:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Entry of new business accounts into Agency Management System.
  • Generation of ACORD applications for new business and renewal accounts.
  • Obtain loss history from insurance carriers.
  • Create loss run summaries and Premium Loss Summary Reports for new and renewal accounts.
  • Set up of insurance proposals and initial entry of policy/quotation information.
  • Preparation of Statement of Values and or “COPE” spreadsheets.
  • Scheduling and of bi-weekly large new business account calls with Management.
  • Scheduling and preparation of minutes for New Business & VIP Renewal meetings.
  • Preparation of form letters (Loss Run Requests, Broker of Record, Reservation of Rights, etc.).
  • Assist marketing with account wrap up (billing, binders, invoices, ID Cards, TCF, Affidavits).
  • Manage and update workload spreadsheets as needed.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of navigating the Internet as well as various Microsoft Office programs to

include Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with Agency Management Systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and assign priority.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Desire to learn new tasks/skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One+ years insurance agency experience preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Valid Driver License required.
  • Insurance License preferred
    • If not licensed must be willing to obtain insurance license within 6 months.

The national average salary for this role is $50,000 to $65,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
