It's having a seat at the table, partnering with business leaders, and delivering results to drive organizational growth.  The Senior HR Business Partner will use their outstanding people skills to lead, plan and direct our talent policies, activities, and to ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives and talent strategy.

 

This role will work with a team that drives employee engagement and a culture where all employees can thrive by developing and supporting programs targeted throughout the employee lifecycle. The Senior HR Business Partner will help support the business by developing relationships with leadership across the organization, forecasting staffing needs, designing accountability mechanisms, helping to manage out poor performers and develop those with high potential, devising programs that help retain talent, strengthens relations between staff and leadership, consults on compensation matters and mitigates conflict and risk.

 

This role is designated as a hybrid role in the New York Metro area.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to regional employees and managers including coaching, career development, performance improvement plans and the performance review process.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and drive the corporate culture, lead employee engagement initiatives, boost morale and improve retention rates.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues and when necessary, conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations from start to end while providing fair guidance in confidential situations.
  • Collaborate with managers to build out workforce and succession plans for teams ensuring the accomplishment of business objectives.
  • Responsible for monitoring, briefing leadership and responding to any workplace issue; compliance need; trend, etc.
  • Proactively drive projects and initiatives and critically think about business needs to provide guidance and support.
  • Monitor the health of the business and talent using a variety of KPIs and presents relevant data to business leaders.
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics resulting in the development of solutions, programs, and policies to drive achievement of firm-wide and departmental goals.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to partner with Centers of Excellence driving initiatives and programs throughout their population.
  • Identify training needs of business units within region, collaborate with COEs on solutions, coordinate training programs and follow up to ensure training outcomes; at times, leads local training.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition Partner and local hiring managers to effectively recruit for open positions in region while staying cognizant of budget.
  • Assure wage administration policies are equitable and appropriate within the guidelines of corporate budget, marketplace considerations and job analysis.
  • Promote positive employee relationships through communication and interpretation of HR Policies.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior members of HR team.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of HR experience and a working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.
  • SHRM- SCP, SPHR and other HR related professional certifications preferred.

The national average salary for this role is $90,000 to $115,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. The base pay offered will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, certifications and education, while also considering internal equity and market data.
