Eze Eclipse™ is a born-in-the-cloud investment solution that supports start-up, emerging equity-, and event-focused hedge funds' full investment process in a single, unified platform through a secure web browser interface.  

As a Principal Software Engineer on the platform services team, you will play a key role in architecting, designing, and implementing the core infrastructure that powers the Eclipse™ family of products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform, enabling us to deliver exceptional user experiences to our rapidly growing customer base. 

The mission of the platform services team is to provide a suite of reusable software components which enable all Eclipse™ engineering teams to build microservices that meet our requirements for scalability, testability, and observability in a highly automated CI/CD environment.

What You Will Get To Do: 

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, highly available, and performant platform components, services, and RESTful APIs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, create architectural designs, and implement innovative solutions

  • Mentor and guide team members, providing technical leadership, code reviews, and promoting best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement

  • Drive the adoption of modern software engineering practices, tools, and methodologies

  • Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the overall Eclipse™ technical roadmap

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other system limitations

  • Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying relevant advancements, and using them to enhance the platform's capabilities, as appropriate

What You Will Bring: 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

  • 8+ years of software development experience, with a focus on building and scaling complex, distributed systems

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, Java, Go, Python, etc

  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and one or more public cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs and web services

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines 

  • Prior experience in a technical leadership or mentorship role is a plus
