Job Description

The License Analyst will be based in Chennai. A licensing analyst establishes processes for enhancing software licensing. Their responsibilities include reviewing discovery data, processing and maintaining client software, conducting research to assist with purchases and contract requirements, and offering end-user functional support. The duties of a software licensing analyst are to manage applications, optimize software, identify and address issues, advise management, and prepare documentation to further support clients.

Here is a glimpse of what you will do:

  • Generating engineering software licenses, hosting licenses, configuring license servers, managing license servers. Resolving technical issues with software providers or vendors
  • Manage FNMEA application or database server, monitoring license servers. Resolving technical issues with software providers or vendors
  • Manage LDSS (developed inhouse) application or database server, manage or monitor or improve entitle management, user access management, etc
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports
  • Ensure license compliance is always maintained
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Works in team environment to develop data visualizations and reports that can be deployed, operationalized and used by the business
  • In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
  • Support the business post live as required

Here is some of what you will need (required):

  • Technical expertise in handling license servers
  • In depth understanding of SQL
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Programming skills preferred. Adept at queries and report writing
  • Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

  • Working experience on handling and managing ETL Processes and Data Warehousing platform
  • Knowledge of PPM tools, ERP highly desirable
  • Knowledge in Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes is desirable
