Job summary:

The Quotation Engineer / Sr. Quotation Engineer working closely with the Quotation team, will be responsible for the provision of competitive requests for quotation (RFQ's) in order to support the Sales and Business Development teams in providing customers with high quality, cost effective quotation packages that will meet customer expectations and attract new business.

What a typical day looks like:

• Support cable assy & customised connector assy build-to-print quotes
• Support in the analysis of design, product or service requirements in terms of cost, manufacturability, quality and lead-time.
• Work closely with Quote Specialists to manage and support all activities related to the quotation process including the preparation and coordination of RFQs for material components, sub-assemblies, and vertical integrations based on quote requirements and strategies in order to present the best possible solutions for materials
• Manage and coordinate requests for quotations received from customers and cusiness development managers in order to identify the best possible solution.
• Negotiate prices and ensure lowest(Best in Class) costs possible through proposal for redesign or process/service substitution to drive costs down Work on cost models, analyze it and assist with strategy implementation to drive pricing competitiveness from supply base Provide technical support in the review of quotation packages and identify products according to the specified requirements for each customer in relation to quotes.
• Oversee the input of Bill of Materials Data into the Quotes Management Software Tool.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
• Work closely with GCM to use latest PSL list for RFQ, may propose potential supplier to PSL process through GCM team.
• Support GCM team to miximize material margin such as future CR and not limited PSPA program and etc.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

• 3+ years commodity quotation/pricing experience
• Familiar with cable assembly and connector
• Engineering degree preferably Mechanical Engineering Experience working in metal and plastic manufacturing environment.
• Have knowledge on product material costing and supply chain
• Good listening and speaking English ability
