Description


Fluid Power Sales designs and manufactures hydraulic manifolds and accompanying parts.  The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for all machining operations and personnel.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain the production schedule using various software tools such as Visual Planner and Macola (ERP system).
  • Maintain, monitor, and approve manufacturing cost accounting information related to labor, outside process, and purchased part content.
  • Lead or participate in defect investigation, root cause analysis, countermeasure implementation, and quality gate review.
  • Apply TPS (Toyota Production System) principles to daily activities.
  • Generate, schedule, process, and release MWOs (Manufacturing Work Orders) according to customer requirements.  Closely monitor material and manpower availability and adjust the production schedule dynamically to achieve a high level of on-time delivery to customers.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to resolve part-specific machining challenges.
  • Participate in capability expansion projects and take the lead in roll-out of changes and improvements.
  • Provide insight and feedback in a collaborative environment with manifold designers.
  • Coordinate with warehouse operations to align material presentation with the production schedule.
  • Coordinate with shipping operations to facilitate outbound logistics.
  • Facilitate or participate in internal meetings to resolve production schedule constraints.
  • Collaborate with inside sales and purchasing departments on schedule changes and customer expedites.

 

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a production management or equivalent role
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience with references

 

Desired Characteristics

  • Excellent leadership and team building skills.
  • Familiarity with TPS or similar quality system principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles.

 


In accordance with applicable wage transparency law requirements, the typical estimated base compensation for this position is $68 - 93,000 per year depending on experience, plus potential bonus opportunities. Bonus amounts can be tied to company, location and/or individual performance, but no specific amount is guaranteed. All full-time associates are eligible for typical employment benefits expected from an industry leader (including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, life insurance, time off, employee assistance, etc.).
