DescriptionSHIFT: Evenings (rotating weekends)
The Medication Reconciliation Technician assists pharmacists in the performance of daily pharmacy routines in accordance with all laws, standards, policies and procedures as dictated by the Florida Board of Pharmacy. The Medication Reconciliation Technician is responsible for accurately performing medication histories upon admission, and med history entry into Meditech in a timely manner. Assists pharmacist in other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Florida Board of Pharmacy required; or enrolled in a FL Pharmacy Board approved tech training program provided by our pharmacy and licensed within 6 months of hire
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification required; or acquired within 3 months of hire
- Previous hospital technician with IV experience
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Ability to work in a fast pace and to prioritize multiple assignments/projects and respond to numerous requests; ability to resolve conflicts among staff and to work collaboratively with department director, physicians and other members of the healthcare team; ability to ensure operational efficiency; ability to problem solve and make decisions; ability to exercise self-control and tolerate stress when dealing with multiple requests and/or conflicting demands from multiple customers. Knowledge of safe medication practices is required.
