Job Summary This position is responsible for creating and supporting useful, well-designed, user-friendly applications, websites workflows, and databases to automate and improve business processes for the departments we serve, utilizing Microsoft Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI, and other tools in the Microsoft ecosystem. Applications include databases, forms, workflows, and associated metrics and reporting. Responsibilities will include working closely with department leads to understand current business processes and re-engineer them for improved efficiency, defining governance, workflow, and metrics for these processes, then designing and building the tools necessary to support them. The individual fulfilling this role must be capable of working closely with customers to build relationships, and continuously gaining a deeper understanding of their needs, opportunities, and pain points; most importantly, this individual must be able to turn those needs into applications that enhance our customers' everyday work experience.
  • Design and build useful, well-designed, user-friendly applications to automate business processes using Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI, and other tools in the Microsoft ecosystem.  Applications include databases, forms, workflows, and associated metrics and reporting.

  • Analyze, understand, and re-engineer departmental business processes.

  • Design and build SharePoint List-based databases for use in business processes, including tables, fields, and foreign keys.

  • Design and build Power Automate workflows that import, export, and process data, route items for approval, etc.

  • Design and build SharePoint websites to support departments under HCSC's Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

  • Design and build robust data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI.

  • Make changes and enhancements to tools based on user feedback.

  • Conduct training on automated processes and tools.

  • Develop technical documentation.

  • Perform special projects as required or requested.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years' experience in defining and managing technical processes; OR technical degree and 6 years' experience defining and managing technical processes; OR 8 years' experience in defining and managing technical processes.

  • 3 years' experience creating websites using Microsoft SharePoint.

  • 3 years' experience creating custom Microsoft SharePoint Lists.

  • 3 years' experience with data visualization platforms.

  • 2 years' experience creating workflows using Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow tool.

  • 1 year experience creating applications using Microsoft Power Apps.

  • Proficiency in process engineering and re-design.

  • Demonstrated experience with customer relationship management.

  • Ability to influence and execute effectively across multiple departments in a matrixed environment.

  • Ability to consult with business stakeholders to design, develop and maintain.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience in graphic design.

  • 2 years' experience in User Experience design.

  • 2 years' experience in copywriting for websites or web applications.

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
