Job Summary Located in our corporate office (either Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX), this advanced professional-level position will report into the Corporate Strategy office, Portfolio & Platform Enablement vertical. This individual is an emerging expert in strategy-related activities with a financial analysis lens with deep understanding of business case development, evaluation and success metrics. Functions in a team leadership role without specific direct reports. This position is responsible for assisting with leading the team in a broad array of financial services / consultation and financial modeling in support of corporate strategic, analytic, planning and integration ensuring continued growth and profitability of the organization.

Required Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree and 6 years of experience in health care, health insurance, or strategic consulting environment OR advanced degree (JD, MBA, MHA) with 4 years of experience involving consulting, strategic planning, business development and financial management operations OR 8 years of experience strategic planning, market research, network management, or product development in health care industry.
  • Strategy Development/Planning/Implementation: Knowledge of strategic planning techniques and industry trends; experience leading and formulating strategy.
  • Analysis/Synthesis/Insight Generation: Conduct environmental and opportunity scans/ trend analyses, provide insights regarding implications, inform decision making, make recommendations/prioritize new opportunities to pursue. Growing ability to generate insights based on understanding of impacts/implications, and integrated across projects.
  • Critical Thinking/Problem Solving: Proactive identification and resolution to increasingly complex problems with minimal oversight.
  • Project Management: Manage increasingly complex projects with minimal oversight.
  • Business Knowledge and Application: Has a strong business knowledge and is proactive in its application.
  • Collaboration and Interpersonal Effectiveness:  Ability to build strong connections with people and teams; drive results by working across the matrixed environment; work directly with corporate leadership.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to interact with all levels, including senior executives; verbal, written and visual communication.
  • Team Development: Proactively develop team members to share knowledge and experience.
  • Able to work within a very fast-paced, quickly evolving organization and manage multiple, complex priorities.
  • Strong focus on performance excellence and process improvement.
     

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as Juris Doctor, MBA or MHA.
  • Business case development, evaluation and success metrics.
  • Health Care Insurance or Health Care industry experience; payor value chain knowledge.
  • Business case development, evaluation and success metrics.
  • 2 years Management Consulting Experience with healthcare clientele.
  • Strong data and analytics skills.
  • Financial analysis, financial modeling, financial services experience.
  • Understanding of project financials.
  • Understanding of technology terms.

HCSC offers a flexible work environment to include 2 days working from home per week, 3 days in the office.
