So, what will you be doing all day? You would join us as a Mechanical Designer/Engineer working on things like…
- Performs advanced calculations and designs engineering systems with a high degree of independence.
- Lead design from concept to substantial completion.
- Communicating effectively with clients and being an outward facing member of the design team.
- Conducts research and asks questions when performing unfamiliar tasks.
- Prepares basic to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings and schematics.
- Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
- Leads multi-disciplinary project design teams and supports technical oversight.
- Performs research and makes recommendations as to the feasibility of systems or equipment. Evaluates products for their application.
- Assists with developing, establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and customers in support of business development and/or pursuit activities.
- Mentoring and training junior level engineers - this person will be a technical resource to assure that top quality is being met.
- Providing technical design guidance and quality control on assigned projects.
- Assisting in the production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings, and for renovations and additions to existing facilities as needed.
- Developing and maintaining internal project schedules, design budgets and contracts as needed.
- Providing coordination of project designs with other disciplines.
- Traveling to in and out of state project sites on an as needed basis.

- Have a degree in Architectural or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Possess at least 7+ years of experience in mechanical design on commercial building projects.
- Have a PE license (strongly preferred)
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards required, as well as a broad understanding of other engineering disciplines.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.
- Are experienced communicating with external clients and customers and basic project management responsibilities.
- Enjoy training and mentoring mechanical staff.
- Have advanced proficiency in technical knowledge, the A&E industry, building mechanical and energy codes, and standards relating to a broad range of practice, project, or program types.
- Are experienced in a variety of warehouse and industrial project types strongly preferred.
- Possess excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Have the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.
